CENTER FOR DEMOCRACY AND RECONCILIATION IN SOUTHEAST EUROPE

Shared Past, Common Future

The CDRSEE and SEETV, an award winning documentary production company, joined forces to create, produce and widely broadcast a film about the Joint History Project, showing the innovative workbooks in use in the classroom. The documentary also featured key figures in the project, regional and international historians and instrumental social and political figures in Southeast Europe. The project's aim was to provide the public with a multi-perspective view of why the Joint History Project is important and how its workbooks are affecting the lives of people, mainly youth, throughout the region. Once the film was completed, it was broadcasted on national television stations throughout the 11 countries of the region that the JHP covers as well as uploaded on electronic form on the Internet.
