9-11 November 2012: Shared teacher training event for Albanian and Serbian communities in South Serbia Part II, Bujanovac

The second workshop of shared teacher training in South Serbia took place in Bujanovac and followed up on the positive experiences of the first workshop in Vranje in June of this year.

The CDRSEE’s Director of Programmes Corinna Noack-Aetopulos was invited to attend this event organized by the French-German Youth Office, the Youth Initiative for Human Rights BiH, Documenta-Centar for Dealing with the past (Croatia) and the Centre Andre Malraux in Sarajevo.

15-17 October 2012: NATO Parliamentary Assembly, 81st NATO PA Rose-Roth Seminar - Anchoring Stability in the Western Balkans: Fulfilling the Promise of Euro-Atlantic Integration, Sveti Stefan, Montenegro

The CDRSEE was invited to take part in this event to discuss whether European Union Membership is still a magnet for the Western Balkans.

11-14 October 2012: Regional conference for scholarship holders from South-East Europe and Germany - Learning from the Past: Remembering and Reconciliation in Europe, Sarajevo

The CDRSEE was invited to take part in this event hosted by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Foundation.

28-30 September 2012: Launch of the second JHP Bosnian language edition and Teacher Training Workshops, Sarajevo

Following the highly successful launch of the second Bosnian language edition of the Joint History Project with extensive news coverage by main Bosnian television broadcasters, the workshops, funded under the IPA programme of the European Commission, welcomed teachers and provided them with an opportunity to learn about the JHP methodologies and familiarise themselves with the workbooks.

21-23 September - 2012: Third meeting of the initiative "Dynamic teaching: knowledge and tools", Sarajevo

The international team of cognitive psychologists and education experts from the Western Balkans, Cyprus, Germany and the US continued its work on building capacities that would bring education more in line with the requirements of a rapidly changing society. The team is currently producing a manual for teachers with the aim of providing guidance for moving from teaching techniques to learning techniques.

8-10 September 2012: Teacher Training Workshops, Przno

The workshops, funded under the IPA programme of the European Commission, welcomed 20 teachers and provided them with an opportunity to learn about the JHP methodologies and familiarise themselves with the workbooks. The participants were assisted in creating their own model lessons based on the training, so as to consolidate their new skills for further use in class.
