The CDRSEE’s Joint History Project continued to expand its reach with another teacher-training workshop, this time in Bosnia and Herzegovina. With the financial support of the European Commission’s IPA programme, 24 teachers were shown the multi-perspective history teaching methods that have helped make the JHP such a success.
The participant teachers learned how to create their own lesson plans, tailored to their schools and their students, incorporating the JHP workbooks. The JHP, through its teacher training and workbooks, helps educators across the Balkans give their students engaging history lessons that encourage critical thinking and debate, recognize shared suffering and achievement, and provide the base for life-long democratic values.
The workshops were carried out in cooperation with Dzevdet Tuzlic and the associations of history teachers. They were moderated by four trainers: historians Nijazija Maslak and Munib Efendić, and teachers Admir Ibricic and Zivana Ilic.
