‘Going Beyond Pride and Pain? History that Connects the Balkans’. As part of our ePACT project, the CDRSEE, together with EUROCLIO, and the Association of History Teachers of Albania (ALBNA), will organise a summer school in Albania, dedicated to exploring this subject. The aim of the summer school is for educators to collaboratively re-look at their own national history within the wider context of differing narratives from other countries in the Balkan region, with a view to changing the manner in which they teach to become more participative, multi-perspective and learner-centred. Over 6 days between July 18-23, participants will engage in a variety of activities, including lectures, workshops, discussion groups and study visits, which will allow them to experience new cultural and methodological ideas and support them in implementing innovative teaching practices in their classrooms.
