11-14 October 2012: Regional conference for scholarship holders from South-East Europe and Germany - Learning from the Past: Remembering and Reconciliation in Europe, Sarajevo

The CDRSEE was invited to take part in this event hosted by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Foundation.

The aim of this conference was to gather policy and opinion makers and scholarship holders for in-depth discussions on reconciliation in Europe: experiences from Germany, France and Poland, a country analysis of prejudices and clichés (how they were generated and how they can be overcome), the past in Southeast Europe – challenges and approaches, and discussions on conflicts and the past through four working groups, with Nenad Sebek as moderator for the working group on Reconciliation and Journalism, whereby the CDRSEE's Joint History Project was presented as a successful model for fostering reconciliation in the region.
