CDRSEE Board member Dusan Reljic participated in a panel at the Media Centre in Belgrade on election night May 6th to discuss the expectations of the international community regarding Serbia’s future EU membership and the difficult economic and political changes it will need to pursue.
A regional team gathered in Kotor to discuss the evaluation of the draft Methodology Manual. The manual is drafted by an international team of education experts from the Western Balkans, Cyprus, Germany and the US. It is led by Professor Lorin Anderson who is well known for his revision of Bloom's Taxonomy. The idea for initiating a regional knowledge pool for dynamic teaching is based on the regional work with teachers within the framework of the Joint History Project.
The CDRSEE was invited to take part in a European Forum Alpbach Network South Eastern European Regional Conference organized by the Initiative Group Alpbach Kosovo for the promotion of European values and an exchange of experiences.
CDRSEE Executive Director Nenad Sebek was invited to moderate a session on administrative reform in the Western Balkans together with Ms Petra Blass Rafajlovski, Former President of the German Bundestag Senior Consultant, within the framework of the Introductory Seminar which gathered fellows and provided insight into the current social and political - global, European and Balkan challenges and opportunities through lectures and meetings with senior decision makers and prominent academics.
Following the highly successful press conference held for the five-series TV programme on 30 March 2012, major national and local TV stations throughout the region (Studio B, TV Vranje and TV FORUM in Serbia, BHRT and RTRS in Bosnia and Herzegovina, TV Vijesti in Montenegro, TV Kapital network in Croatia and Alsat-M TV in the FY Republic of Macedonia) will start broadcasting, on a weekly basis, the debates on the topics of "Stereotypes", " How to survive: the Economic Crisis", "Media", "The Great powers and Us", and "To be Young and to Live in the Balkans".
